After hearing the PM saying that those who flew our Jalur Gemilang upside down is kurang ajar, I wrote about the “not quite upside-down” flags in Putrajaya.
Imagine my shock and horror upon seeing people proudly waving our Malaysian flag, our Jalur Gemilang, after tearing it up.
I mean…. flying it upside down is one thing. But tearing it to small bits and proudly showing off the bits??? How can this be allowed???

The proportions are all wrong and there isn’t even the requisite number of stripes.
But this pales in comparison to the routine desecrations of Negaraku and the state anthems when they use substandard instruments and even change the notes!
Patriotism is not about waving flags or singing negaraku.. it is much deeper.. it is what your heart tells you what to stand for… when y0u give flags and national anthem to those who has no heart at all for the country, this is what you gonna get – torn malaysian flag and bad tuned negaraku…
