On 28th Dec 07, I did my Friday prayer at Sekolah Alam Shah Putrajaya. This was only the second time I visited the school since it was opened. (I left the ‘original’ Sekolah Alam Shah at Bandar Tun Razak in 1992).
Perhaps unsurprisingly, no memories came to me when I entered the school gate. It felt like it was a very different school. Well, I supposed it is a different school. It was a very different feeling when I passed by the former Sekolah Alam Shah after sending back Ustaz Hasrizal after the Ibn Khaldun Seminar 2. I can still remember waiting for the bus to go to Sungai Wang Plaza every Saturday morning. I also remember sneaking quietly into the school (avoiding the Pak Guard) every now and then because it was too late in the evening….the video game centre at Sungai Wang can make you forget the time!

Just read about Amazon’s Kindle. Sounds like an excellent idea - no more heavy books in the briefcase.
But unfortunately it is out of stock.

Putrajaya somehow became a regular visit for me while I was in Malaysia in December 07. I must have made at least two visits every week.
I think Putrajaya is impressive. In particular, the PMO and Putrajaya Mosque area is well-planned.
Coming from PICC towards the Putrajaya Mosque, you can see the PMO in front of you and the view, to me, is majestic. Perhaps that was done intentionally to show that it is the PM of Malaysia who has the real power, not the Agong, whose palace was not even in the view.

Ibn Khaldun Seminar 2 went very well. The attendance was at least double what we expected.
Rather than providing comments on a seminar in which I was the main presenter, it would be better if you read the comments by Nik Nazmi and Tricia Yeoh

I attended a talk by Luthfi Assyaukanie, head of Jaringan Islam Liberal, on Friday 14 December 2007, at Shah Village. The invitation came from Khalid Jaafar, whom I met earlier that day at Bangsar Village.
