Discourse on this topic started over breakfast this morning.
The summary thus far, multiculturalism and pluralism are different only in theoretical discussions. When it comes to implementation and practise, they are pretty much similar.
More to come over supper since dinner will be outside.

hi! thanks for asking about communism. i can recommend a few books but something i ask you to remember is that Stalinism and Maoism are corruptions of communism and are not representative of the political philosophy itself.
books i can recommend to give you a strong introduction to communism are:
1. The Communist Manifesto- Karl Marx
although this is somewhat dated as labour governments in the 40s/60s have introduced a lot of socialist laws. it does provide a good introduction to the aims and methodology of communism. It also includes a quite accurate prediction of how the proleteriat will run out of work and develop into an underclass (consistant with today’s chav culture)
2. Capital- Marx- expanding upon the ideas in the CM, this is a complex economic investigation that scrutinises the mechanics of capitalism to try and erxplain its failings as a method.
3. What is to be done? – V.I. Lenin
explains how communism may be implemented as a system of government.
4. the revolution betrayed- Leon Trotsky
a look at the failings of communism as a method of government in the USSR.
these should offer a good introduction and a broad knowledge of communism.
i hope this helps, rob
Thanks. I already have the Communist Manifesto. Great work by Marx and Engels. I think the general idea of the Manifesto deserves further attention, although they may not be totally practical in the current political environment.
